Double Fire Doorset (FD60s) – £2,300 to £2,800

The range caters for glazing, specialise door closers and difficult install locations – the doors might be higher than this depending on your specific scenario but this will give you an indication for a standard Fire Door.

Critical element of the install

Critical element of the install is the gap between the structural opening and the door frame – this is key to a good install, and long-term stability for the door.

The structural integrity of the Fire door set is so important, and is the element that is taken for granted by installers and hidden behind the architrave. The frame should be secure to the structural opening, with fire rated packers and an appropriate number of fixings. The gap between the frame and structural opening should ideally be between 4mm and 10mm, to enable some movement as the building moves and to minimise the fire stopping required.

All our works document the door frame has been installed, for your records.
